We are presenting a lot online again. From an individual introduction to a webinar and online event. But not every PowerPoint is suitable for an online presentation.
The Online Proof label is awarded to presentations that do meet the requirements. The presentations must score sufficiently on the following parts:
- Powerful build-up of the storyline in an online presentation you have to draw your audience into the presentation from the start. With a slow build-up you lose the audience's attention.
- Visually attractive design The slides must support what you as the speaker tell. As the speaker you are not, or almost not, visible during the presentation. Nice visuals, icons, images, … provide a visual amplifier of your message.
- Text on the slide The audience cannot listen and read at the same time. If there is too much text on the slides and they try to read it, they lose their attention for you as the speaker.
- Built up interactively Interactivity in a presentation ensures that you can respond quickly to questions that are asked or to specific needs of your conversation partner. This is especially important for a commercial online presentation. Because these may not last too long, it is important to be as specific as possible.
With the 'Online Proof' label you are therefore ready for your next online presentation.
Do you want to know whether your PowerPoint is 'Online Proof'? Send us your presentation and we will provide you with a thorough analysis.
Do not forget that as a presenter you also have to adjust your presentation skills a little. More on that soon…
