Chris Verleye - Managing director of Salar
Salar is a legally recognised payroll agency that differentiates itself in the market through its expertise within easy reach. They make the translation from legislation into something usable for the client. Above all they deliver the practice and the solution and less the theory. Salar is mainly active in the provinces of Antwerp and Limburg and works for SMEs of up to 50 employees.
Is a lot of presenting done at Salar? What do you call on Smartpresentations for with your presentations?
It all started around the Spitsuur HR seminar where we bring expertise to the client. Our clients like to have the practice explained by means of a training session. On the other hand there are also quite a few recurring topics that we explain to the client many times over. That is well-defined material that does not change all that often. We want to bring these to our clients in a very professional way.
How important are the presentations you give?
We bring top expertise, so our communication has to radiate that too. The imagery makes the whole picture right. Your baseline ‘When your reputation depends on it' is a bullseye, because that is exactly what it is about.
Where did we make the difference?
When you establish a certain concept for your company, you have to apply it to your entire business. This can range from your front door and printed documents to, ultimately, your presentations too. These may not be thrown together the evening before, but must be brought very carefully and professionally, in line with your concept. The experience around a presentation that is completely in order and looks good also means it is remembered much better.
Your design in our presentations is always very consistent and professional. They are often not obvious subjects, but you manage to add images every time that are immediately right thematically or in terms of atmosphere. This means the presentation presents a good deal more smoothly and pleasantly.
What would you recommend to other companies who want to work with Smartpresentations?
Other companies often have the argument that presentations must be able to be given to the client and must be informative enough. I do not have that ambition. We are experts in the material, but sometimes it is enough just to strike the sensitive chord. That way we show that we have the knowledge in-house. "It is usually a bit more complex than it looks, so feel free to come to us for advice the moment you really need it." It means the presentation can be presented much more lightly and that it is more acceptable to the other party. Too much text and material seems rather school-like and that is not the intention.
Outsourcing presentations to an external agency also offers a great advantage. For us the theory is self-evident. For our clients it usually is not, and your way of thinking matches that of our clients in this. Which means the presentations are made at the perfect level.
Looking ahead, would you turn to Smartpresentations again for a future presentation?
We have been working together for a while now, so we understand each other well by now. Briefings go quickly and there is no need for countless rounds of corrections to reach an end result. All communication around the presentation also always proceeds very punctually and correctly. That makes it pleasant to work together, so we will certainly keep doing that in the future. I supply a Word document and a few days later I get a complete presentation back that is spot on. That is simply fantastic.
