The whole of Concept, Form and Content

The whole of Concept, Form and Content

A great deal of preparation precedes the organisation of an event. Conceptual definition, invitations / registrations, venue, catering, gifts, documentation, ...etc. An important part of a corporate event is the moment of information transfer; a speech by the CEO, a product launch, presentation of the company results, inspiration and motivation for a sales team, brokers and resellers, .... That is the moment around which not only the event often revolves but also the moment when the message is very important.

And unfortunately we do see that not enough attention is paid to that moment. The link between the event organisation and the speakers is unfortunately often missing. But if we align precisely those two nicely with each other, the entire organisation becomes one whole. Concept, form and content must be aligned with each other at every event.

For the third year running, SmartPresentations was allowed to support the Lyreco Sales Convention with the design of all the presentations used during this day. During this day, to which all of Lyreco Benelux's commercial employees are invited, not only the company results of the past year but also the strategic objectives for the coming year are presented. A motivating effervescent tablet for all employees, then...

  • After the concept has been determined by the event agency, we get to work with the most important speakers to discuss the main lines of their presentations. In this way we ensure that the content aligns with the concept and that there are no overlaps between the different speakers.
  • Next, we get to work with the speakers individually to gather and structure the content.
  • The design of the slides is drawn up entirely in accordance with the conceptual mood board. The style is carried through into every speaker's presentation. No exceptions. The presentations of the speakers who present in smaller break-outs are also graphically aligned and get a redesign.
  • A rehearsal the day before the event is ideal for letting the speaker feel the stage sensation. But it also immediately becomes clear whether the line set out for the presentation still needs to be adjusted. Order and content of the presentation can then still be adjusted.
  • Even on the day of the event it is handy to be able to make adjustments to a presentation. Ultimately, the closing of such an event has to respond to everything that has happened and been said.

Through this complementary approach between event organisation, Lyreco and SmartPresentations, this convention gives a powerful signal and strong message to the internal employees.
